REVERENCE

Blom’s monumental paintings put us in direct contact with the land. Created outdoors on the Swedish forest floor using raw pigments, they allow traces of the forest itself to become part of the work — carrying its colours, rhythms and atmosphere into the chapel.

Mills has devised a generative sound installation that begins with breath — our constant exchange with nature. Delicate layers of strings and percussion breathe in and out, gathering into rich waves of sound before dissolving into silence. Using coding and visual programming, Mills continually reshapes the material in real time, so the work evolves indefinitely, never taking quite the same form twice.

Together, the works transform the chapel into a space to slow down, ground, and reconnect - brought to life across the weekend by a live improvisation with cellist Clare O'Connell and a breathwork session led by Jamie Clements.
